Subject : The War in Ukraine and Violence against women

Nastya Krasilnikova is an Independent journalist, feminist activist, podcaster, and blogger from Moscow, Russia, with more than 15 years of professional experience. Fled Russia in March 2022 due to Putin’s war in Ukraine and threats she was getting as a public fem-activist.

After graduating from the Faculty of Journalism at the Moscow State University, she began my career as lifestyle journalist.
A story she produced and edited about sexism prevalent in the Russian media prompted my interest in the issue and led to creation of “The Robber’s Daughter” blog (named after the heroine of my favorite children’s book, “Ronia” by Astrid Lindgren). Soon thereafter she realized that she become a feminist and willing to wholly dedicate herself to the issue using her experience in media.
She produced several feminist podcasts and documentaries.
